Metalurgia International (vol. XII), no.1, 2007, p. 26

E-commerce can lead in many different ways to cost reduction in case of a supplier and can subsequently increase the competition potential of a company. As for the competition mechanism, such changes produce significant modifications within a market economy. The Internet renders the possibility of creating business contacts in a rapid and geographically independent manner, as well as possibilities of obtaining data and realizing transactions within the world’s economy. Public acquisitions by means of dynamic systems and electronic bids are currently one of the significant areas of electronic commerce.

Cleopatra Șendroiu, Aureliana Geta Roman, Roman Costantin: Increasing the practical value of accounting information in the machine building industry applying the standard – cost method

Metalurgia International (vol. XII), no.1, 2007, p. 35

The standard-cost method is part of the category of forecast calculation methods and a follow up method of the manufacturing process, allowing manufacturing costs to be established in anticipation and the carrying out of cost budgetary control by determining the deviations of the actual costs from the pre-established ones, according to types of deviations and to causes, at the same time with the carrying out of the manufacturing process. This way its being applied in machine building plants offers unchallenged advantages as to studying and the efficient analysis of manufacturing efficiency, thus being able to fulfill an important function for the management - that of investigation and forecast instrument.
