Brβnduşa Milea, Dana Şerban: The analysis of the possibilities of depreciation of the products
surface quality under the influence of the technological liquids in strip the
cold-rolling process Metalurgia (59) 2007, nr. 12, p. 5 In the strip rolling process, the surface quality can
be depreciated during the pickling, washing, lubrication operations, due to
the interactions between the rolled material and the technological fluids.
The surface quality and the technological fluids analysis has to be done
separatelly, in stages, but taking into account that there are successive
influences on the chain of pickling washing- lubrication processes. D.C.:

aluminium, silicon carbide, particles, wettability, chemical reactions Neagu Gigel, Ştefănescu Metalurgia
(59) 2007, nr. 12, p. 13 The
paper presents the principal aspects regarding the obtaining of the mixture
aluminium - silicon carbide particles. It
is discussed about the wetting conditions and the critical acceleration
necessary for the incorporation of particles into the melt. The high values
obtained for this parameter involve to apply some methods to improve the wettability:
the covering of the complementary material with a thin layer of Ni, the
alloying of the aluminium melt, the overheating of the metallic bath and the
heat treatment of the silicon carbide particles with the aim to removal the
gases from the superficial layer and
to create an oxide layer. D.C.:

internal-stresses Metalurgia
(59) 2007, nr. 12, p. 20 Phenomenologically, superplasticity is the capability
of certain alloys to undergo extensive, neck-free, tensile deformation prior
to fracture. There are two types of superplastic behavior in polycrystalline
solids: micrograin superplasticity and internal-stress superplasticity. In
this article is described the internal-stress superplasticity, the ways in
which internal stresses can be generated. These include: thermal cycling of
polymorphic materials through a phase change, thermal cycling of
polycrystalline pure metals or single-phase alloys that have anisotropic
thermal expansion coefficients, and thermal cycling of composite materials in
which the constituents have different thermal expansion coefficients. In case of superplasticity induced by internal
stresses, if internal stresses can be developed in materials, considerable
tensile plasticity can be obtained under the application of a low externally
stress, because the superplastic materials can have a strain-rate-sensitivity
exponent as high as unity, they can exhibit ideal Newtonian viscous behavior.
Such superplastic materials deform by a slip process, and a fine grain size
is not a necessary condition. Examples of internal-stress superplasticity are found
in polycrystalline zinc and alpha uranium. In these two metals, the internal
stress arises from the anisotropy of expansion coefficients present in these
non-cubic structure materials. During thermal cycling, internal stresses are
induced at the boundaries between adjacent grains. Materials that undergo polymorphic changes with
temperature can exhibit Newtonian viscous behavior when tested under
thermal-cycling conditions. The internal-stresses arising in this case from
the difference in molar volume between different phases during phase
transformation. Such behavior is known as transformation plasticity. The internal-stress superplasticity
can be utilized to enhance the ductility of metal-matrix composites that are
normally brittle. For example, in several whisker-reinforced metal-matrix
composites (aluminum containing 20% SiCw alloy) were induced the
superplastic behavior during deformation under thermal cycling conditions. An
exceptional tensile ductility can be achieved in this manner in a
whisker-reinforced 6061 aluminum alloy. Whereas the metal-matrix composite
exhibits only 12% elongation under isothermal deformation at 4500C,
the same composite exhibits 1400% elongation if deformed under thermal
cycling conditions (100↔4500C at 100 seconds per cycle). |

regarding the temperature distribution during the channel-less drawing Metalurgia (59) 2007, nr. 12, p. 26 Taking into account the importance of temperature
during the dieless drawing process, the aim of present paper is to present
some aspects regarding the temperature distribution in the drawn products.
The paper presents the results obtained for temperature distribution function
of drawing speed, inductor shape and inductor parameters D.C.:
621.778 Balaş M. Ioan: On the
implementation of adaptive systems within drawing processes Metalurgia (59) 2007, nr. 12, p. 30 The
paper approaches the theoretic baselines imposed by the necessity to
implement adaptive systems in the drawing of wires and bars, emphasizing the
advantages that come from maintaining the continuity of the thread, through
monitoring the drawing process, using ACC systems. The described running principle of ACC systems, allows the
monitoring of the plastic distortion, for the wire as well as in the bars
drawing. Key words: esophagoscopy,

Viorel, HainĂroŞie Răzvan: Esophagoscopy with metalic
rigid tube, present and future Metalurgia
(59) 2007, nr. 12, p. 36 The aim: a revue of a classical method for diagnosis and surgical approach to
esophagus by mean of a metallic rigid tube. The objective: an overview of the indications,
limits and actually used instruments in esophagoscopy with rigid metallic
tube. The results: clinical studies of many authors
shows the method to be a valuable one and to present a real potential
for development and improvements. Conclusions: It is necessary to develop and to improve a large
spectrum of surgical instruments according to a lot of clinical and lesional
situations. Key words: financial administration accountancy, cost

Gheorghe, Radu Sorin-Claudiu: The ABM
method (Activity Based Management) Metalurgia
(59) 2007, nr. 12, p. 44 The activity management is based on undertaken
splitting by activities, similar to that defined by the ABC method. For some authors, the activity management is
considered as a development and improvement of the ABC method. For others,
ABC represents a subproduct of the activity management. A third category of authors has a different
conception, considering the ABC a calculation tool for costs, and the ABM
method as a psychology of the performance management. Key words: business engineering,
business architecture, business framework, model driven architecture Mihaela Mureşan: Business
Engineering - Business Architecture Metalurgia
(59) 2007, nr. 12, p. 47 The competitiveness of the metallurgical enterprise
depends of the profit-costs balance. The internal processes re-engineering
represents one of the ways of reducing the costs related to organizational
and management issues. The business architecture offers an efficient solution
for the business engineering and the re-engineering processes. This approach
strengthens the cooperation between the main actors involved in the business
architecture design and implementation, aiming at including all the
significant views in a integrated model. The main
goal of the development of a business architecture
is to offer a standard model for the integration of the internal processes
and for a better management of the technological and informational resources
of the enterprise. Such a standard approach has as main benefits the increase
of the management quality and the efficiency in the business processes,
contributing to the competitivity of the organization. |
