Avram Nicolae, Mihai LICURICI:
Carbon monoxide generation
inside the contour of pollutant iron
and steel industry processes and operations
Metalurgia (56) 2004, nr.4 p.5
Engineering preoccupations analyse in the field of pollution prevention and control
show that:
·
A lot of
attention is payed to the down stream situation of
metallurgical processes (identification, measuring and dispersion of immisions and secondary materials utilization).
·
There
are not enough investigations, performed regarding the emission generation in
the contour of metallurgical processes.
Taking into account the phenomenas described above, the following measures have
to be taken:
·
intensification
of efforts regarding the ecological prophilaxy,
based, among other, on knowledges of pollutant
emissions industrial generation theory;
·
establishment of
mathematical instruments required for prediction of emissions, generated by
fundamental metallurgical processes and auxiliary operations.
In the paper, attention is payed to the carbon monoxide, generated during the iron
and steel industry processes and drawn-out in the atmosphere.

the Metals Subjected to Cold Upsetting
Metalurgia (56) 2004, nr.4, p.23
The main criteria which determine the possibility of using the metal for cold
upsetting are the following: the quality of the semi-finished surface, the
chemical composition, the mechanical properties, the macro and
microstructure, the ratio of reduction by forging from drawing-calibration.
The present paper suggests to analyse the aspects that concern the chemical
composition of the metal.

Aluminium Alloys
Metalurgia (56) 2004, nr.4, p.28
Superplastic behaviour has been demonstrated for a number
of aluminium base alloys, and the related ductilities observed are frequently
in excess of 600% and occasionally as high as 1500% [2]. The researches that have
been devoted to development of different aluminium alloys, alloys designed
for superplasticity and comercial alloys that have been specially
thermomechanically processed to be superplastic. The paper reviews briefly
the aluminium alloys, the superplastic properties of these and the methods for grain refinement.
